Digital station RTÉ Pulse has started transmitting on a temporary FM licence in Dublin, taking over the frequency recently used by Christmas FM.
The station is usually only found on national DAB, Saorview and UPC Cable, and has been on-air for almost five years. It’s also featured on the RTÉ Radio Player.
RTÉ Pulse Station Editor, Adam Fogarty, says: “The temporary addition of FM to RTÉ Pulse’s existing platforms is very exciting. It’s a great opportunity for us to extend our reach in the Dublin region and further showcase our quality programming.
“As a truly dedicated dance music service, RTÉ Pulse aims to be representative of what is happening right now in electronic music; from commercial to specialist. I think that listeners will be pleasantly surprised by the eclectic nature of the programs we broadcast.”
RTÉ Pulse plays dance music 24 hours a day with a number of live and pre-recorded programmes, including Mo K in the morning, Judge Jules Global Warm Up, Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound Radio and shows for the Lesbian and Gay community.
