Ocean FM recognised for music commitment

Ocean FM has won an award for having the largest number of Irish music creators in its programming output.

Tim Collins, CEO of Ocean FM was presented with the IMRO Independent Radio Award by Victor Finn, CEO of IMRO at the IBI Annual Broadcasting Conference which took place in Dublin today.

Ocean FM broadcasts in Co. Sligo, South Donegal and North Leitrim from its studios in Colloney, Co.Sligo, Donegal Town and Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim.

“We are delighted to have been recognised once again this year for our commitment to Irish music. Every week two thirds of all adults in our area tune in to Ocean FM to listen to our unique blend of music. We are committed to helping Irish musicians and this award is testament to this,” said Tim Collins.

Mr. Victor Finn, Chief Executive of IMRO said: “The Irish Music Rights Organisation represents Irish songwriters, composers and music publishers across all genres and the support of independent radio in bringing Irish musical talent to the wider public is critical to their success. This award reflects the commitment of everyone in Ocean FM to supporting Irish music.”
