Dublin gets a new Amazing Radio station

New music station Amazing Radio is to launch on DAB Digital Radio in Dublin this week, as part of its international expansion plans.

amazingThe station plays 100% new and emerging music drawn from sister website amazingtunes.com, and has a track record of discovering artists before any other radio station.

Amazing Radio is now in its 4th year of operation, and until a year ago broadcast nationally in the UK. The station will return to DAB but only in London and Dublin.

“We were sad to come off DAB, but we kept going online and on mobile Apps, increasing our audience and improving our output every month.” Programme Director Matt Jamison told RadioToday.

“Plus, we’re launching an expanded online streaming service, with more time-shifting to US time zones, a new and improved mobile App and more genre-based channels such as Amazing Beats and Amazing Chill at amazingradio.com.”

“Getting back on the air is the first step of a major expansion of amazing’ says Amazing Media parent company founder & CEO Paul Campbell.

“We have expanded all our operations, from the B2B music delivery service Amazing Instore which gives musicians new revenue chances and reduces costs for retailers, to sessions and gigs in venues large and small – small music pubs to the Royal Albert Hall. Next, we go transatlantic, with a major launch in the USA scheduled for later in 2013.

“We have some very exciting and unexpected things to announce then. It’s all part of our promise to help new and emerging musicians get discovered and make money in a fair and ethical way.”
