Broadcaster girlfriend of Ryan Tubridy Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin is to host a new Sunday morning show RTÉ Radio 1, called Aoibhinn & Company, to run during the summer.
Each week, Aoibhinn will be joined by guests for an in depth hour long interview. Each guest will talk about their life, their times, the passions that drive them, the influences that formed them and they will choose music that is part of the sound track of their lives.
The station says Aoibhinn brings a new woman’s voice to RTÉ Radio 1 with a breadth of interest and knowledge that runs from mathematics, to science, to literature, to plain good fun.
She’ll also be talking to a broad range of people from different walks of life, music, books, sport and lifestyle.
The programme will air at 10am each Sunday morning from July 14th.
Ní Shúilleabháin said: “I am very excited about the programme and I’m really looking forward to working with the team. I’ve grown up listening to Radio 1 and it’s wonderful to be given this opportunity.”
