James Pllu joins Citybeat Belfast as PC

Belfast’s Citybeat has hired James Pllu, current Programme Controller at West Sound Radio in Scotland as PC, replacing John Kearns.

John left last month to concentrate on “new and existing projects” and his daytime show was taken over by Owen Larkin.

Brian Commins, Managing Director of Citybeat told RadioToday: “I am delighted to announce James’s appointed as Programme Controller of Citybeat.

“James is an experienced radio programmer having worked for Radio Clyde in the past and most recently heading up the programming team at West Sound Radio.”

James added: “Belfast has always been one of my favourite cities and I’m so excited about joining the team at Citybeat. Opportunities to work in such a vibrant place don’t come up too often, I can’t wait to get started.”

At present James lives in Ayrshire but will be moving to Belfast to take up his new role starting 12th August.
