A one-day workshop on ‘How to get in to Radio’ has been organised by Learning Waves Skillnet where those wanting to get into the industry can hear stories from experts already in Irish radio.
The event is taking place on 29th November at the IRS offices on Lower Baggot Street in Dublin and is aimed at those people not currently in work but looking for a career in independent radio.
Learning Waves Skillnet says there will be opportunities to get advice, suggestions, tips and hints from people working in the independent radio sector. Those booked to attend include news and sports editors, sales managers, talk show presenters and production experts from local, regional and national radio stations.
Earlier this month we reported on how Learning Waves had secured funding to continue its training work. The project is funded by the government and independent commercial radio stations.
