A new company called Media Central is to facilitate day to day Sponsorship and Promotions sales for five stations under an agreement with Independent Radio Sales.
IRS will continue to sell Cork’s Red FM, Spin SW, iRadio NE and iRadio NW as part of its IRELAND FM national platform package, which also includes 17 local radio stations across the country. Media Central will look after S&P for the same four stations as well as Spin 103.8.
The agreement takes effect from 1st January 2014.
David Tighe, CEO of IRS told RadioToday: “We are very pleased with this new arrangement. Local radio has always been at the heart of IRS and the new arrangement allows us to maintain our focus and energies on our local stations. We will continue to deliver our national radio platform through our IRELAND FM package.”
Gavan Deans, Managing Director of Media Central, said: “The development of Media Central will enable agencies to target like-minded stations. It will also give agencies the ability to deliver solutions in similar commercial environments. We are also very happy to remain part of the successful IRELAND FM platform.”
