Pat O’Mahony joins Newstalk for comedy show

RTÉ radio documentary maker Pat O’Mahony is to co-produce and present a new comedy news panel show for Newstalk on Sunday evenings.

The first show in the 10-week series of You Couldn’t Make It Up airs next weekend (Sun 1st December) at 6pm. Each half-hour show will see two teams of comedians perform satirical sketches and improvise around topical issues.

Recordings will take place on Friday nights in front of a live studio audience at The Helix Theatre on the Dublin City University campus. The first episode will be recorded on 29th November, with tickets available by emailing comedy@newstalk.ie

The project is Pat’s first major work for Newstalk 106-108. His previous work includes for RTÉ’s Now That’s What You Called News and programmes for the BBC and UTV.

    No, Pat O’Mahony hasn’t “joined Newstalk”, he’s a freelance producer who’s presenting and producing a show for them.
