Figures have been released showing operating profits down from €6.6m in 2011 to €4.4m in 2012 at Denis O’Brien’s Communicorp Group.
The company made €58.2m revenue across all its businesses, with radio stations in Ireland bringing in sales of €35.2m.
In 2012, Communicorp sold 22 radio stations but still has assets in Ireland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Jordan.
Staff numbers went from 626 employees to 612 and payroll costs were €366,000 less in 2012 than 2011.
