Today FM is raising money for charity as The Ray D’Arcy Show Half Million Half Marathon for Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice gets underway.
Listeners are invited to register and join in. The station wants two thousand people to raise €250 each, helping them reach their goal of raising €500,000.
“This is an exciting and unique event,” the station says. “Running a half marathon is a brilliant personal achievement, add to that raising €250 for the most deserving charity along with 1,999 other people and you have a very special communal achievement. 2,000 people running to help Ireland’s only children’s hospice.
“We feel some people might want to pay the registration up front while others will want to fund raise through MyCharity and so you can decide which option suits you. Let’s do this together!”
The event, taking place on April 18th 2014, has been sponsored by Volkswagen Ireland.
