Dragons’ Den presenter Richard Curran is joining RTÉ Radio 1 as presenter of The Business programme.
Richard, who is also a columnist with Independent Newspapers, was previously Business Correspondent with RTÉ News, Business Editor of the Irish Independent and Deputy Editor of The Sunday Business Post. He’s the younger brother of RTE Director General Noel Curran.
Richard is delighted with his new role. He said: “It comes at a fascinating time in Ireland’s recovery and hopefully renewal of the economy. People’s understanding of business has changed enormously through both the good times and the bad over the last 20 years. The Business plays an important role in communicating with a very wide audience about the key issues, challenges and stories that shape our economy and working lives.”
Richard will present his first programme on Saturday 26 April at 10am, taking over from George Lee who has been appointed as RTÉ Agriculture and Environment Correspondent.
The Business is an Old Yard production for RTÉ Radio.
