Sunshine to air special for The Holocaust

Dublin’s Sunshine 106.8 is to broadcast a 30 minute special documentary to coincide with The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and The Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day.

“Batsheva Dagan Holocaust Survivor” – all about one woman’s survival – will air this Sunday 4th May at 6pm, produced by Fran Kennedy and presented by Graham Day. Assistant Producers were Alan Gorman and Paul Harrington.

When Germany invaded Poland in 1939, Batsheva was in her teens at the time and in this documentary describes her life as a young Jewish girl growing up in a country that was primarily catholic.

Sunshine says the documentary gives a “fascinating insight into the difference between anxiety and fear, and tells us about her arrest and journey to one of the most infamous concentration camps in the Third Reich, Auschwitz.”
