Dubai station Welcomes Irish Voice to UAE airwaves

Arabic Radio Network has appointed John Hayes as their newest member of their team in the United Arab Emirates.

The Limerick man made the move to the Emirates 5 years ago, following a 3 year stint on SPIN South West, having moved there from Live 95FM.

John left Ireland to pursue a career in events and entertainment with an Irish company, but has now returned to the air in the Middle East, becoming the only Irish person to hold an on air position at ARN.

He is poised to host the “80’s & 90’s weekend”, as well as “Live @ Drive” over the holiday season, on Dubai 92 – the longest running Western music station in the UAE.

The former Chairman of Dubai Irish Society and host of Dubai Rose Of Tralee, has put his other projects on hold in order to establish himself in the competitive UAE market, where the Irish diaspora has now reached an estimated 11,000 people.
