Derek Mooney goes wild again at RTÉ Radio 1

Derek Mooney is back on RTÉ Radio 1 this Sunday 5th April with the first in a new series of Mooney Goes Wild.

The hour-long programme, which will air Sunday nights between 10pm – 11pm, will see Derek and guests explore the natural world and all of its wonders.

He will be joined regularly by long-term contributors Eanna Ní Lamhna, Terry Flanagan, Dr. Richard Collins and Philip McCabe.

Derek Mooney says: “We started out on this journey into the natural world 20 years ago and two decades later we have barely scratched the surface. Spring is the season when nature comes alive: the birds are singing, the mammals are out and the leaves are beginning to appear. So it’s the right time for Mooney Goes Wild to return. In a fixed slot on Sunday evenings, it couldn’t be better. I’m asking our listeners to make a date with nature every Sunday at 10pm.”

Derek Mooney became Executive Producer across nature and wildlife programming, after quitting his daily Radio 1 show.
