2fm ladies lead nominations for Stellar Radio award

Women’s magazine Stellar have announced the shortlist for their Shine Awards 2015, and the ladies of RTÉ 2fm are leading the way in the Radio Presenter category.

Half of the shortlist are representing the state broadcaster’s youth station. These are Louise McSharry, Jenny Greene, Jennifer Maguire, Lottie Ryan and new recruit Tracy Clifford.

Up against them from the Communicorp camp are Today FM’s Louise Duffy, Spin 1038’s Daniella Moyles, Muireann O’Connell of 98FM’s Ray Foley Show and TXFM’s Kelly-Anne Byrne.

Also shortlisted for Best Radio Presenter is iRadio’s “Vodafone First Play” presenter Louise Clarke.

Stellar Magazine say the awards celebrate “all that’s great and good about young Irish women aged 18 to 35”. Apart from the radio presenter category, awards will be presented in categories for best author, blogger (or vlogger), designer, singer, sports star, comedian, TV presenter and actress.

Voting is now open on the Stellar web site and the awards ceremony will take place in November.
