Nikki Hayes is returning to East Coast FM

Former 2fm and Spin 1038 presenter Nikki Hayes is rejoining East Coast FM to host the evening show.

Nikki started her radio career at the station before moving on to Spin and RTE where she worked for eight years before returning to Spin.

When the long-term presenter of East Coast FM’s youth-driven show ‘On Demand’, Paul Byrne resigned to join Clare FM, station CEO Ciara O’Connor told RadioToday she knew exactly who she wanted to take over the microphone. “We’re delighted to have Nikki back on the airwaves on East Coast FM,” Ciara said.

“Nikki knows us and she knows Wicklow given Bray is her hometown. She has a real understanding of the audience she’ll be talking to and I’m very much looking forward to working with her in the future”

Nikki says of coming back ‘home’ “I’ve always had a huge fondness for East Coast FM and the people working there. I consider them my family and I can’t wait to get back on the airwaves doing what I love in a station I hold dear to my heart”.

East Coast On Demand is broadcast Monday to Thursday 7pm-10pm and Nikki starts Monday the 30 th January.

Later this year Nikki releases her debut book, being published at the end of the summer for Mercier Press. A strong advocate for mental health Nikki continues her work for a better mental health service across the country.
