Baz Ashmawy to host summer show on Radio 1

Baz Ashmawy is returning to RTÉ Radio 1 for two months to host a late night show over the summer.

The 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy star will be on-air from 10pm weeknights.

He told RadioToday: “I’m just doing a tiny bit for fun over the summer because it’s no commitment.” He went on to ridicule a headline in Goss.ie which said “Baz Ashmawy lands HUGE radio gig with RTÉ” saying it was the “Funniest most exaggerated media I’ve ever read.”

Baz recently covered for Ray D’Arcy on his afternoon RTE Radio 1 programme, nearly five years since his weekend breakfast show ended.
