Dacia to sponsor RTÉ 2fm’s Breakfast Republic

Dacia Ireland is the new sponsor of RTÉ 2FM’s breakfast show Breakfast Republic.

The car brand will be up with the lark as the sponsorship runs over the next year on the popular programme, which broadcasts from 6am to 10am each weekday morning on the national station.

Breakfast Republic is presented by comedian Bernard O’Shea, Jennifer Zamparelli and Keith Walsh and has an average weekday listenership of 167,000 adults.

Brokered by OMD, the 12-month sponsorship includes ten sponsor credited stings per day, cross station promotional spots, podcast and homepage sponsorship. In addition, 2FM will be celebrating Dacia’s 5th birthday in Ireland this summer with a bespoke live broadcast where 172 Breakfast Republic listeners will be in with a chance to drive away a brand new Dacia Sandero to mark the new 172 registration plate.

Liz O’Gorman, Marketing Manager Dacia Ireland, said: ‘We are thrilled to be on board with Breakfast Republic as sponsors for the next year. We feel the show perfectly reflects the Dacia brand’s personality as the presenters are a little ‘unique’ in their approach and at Dacia, we’re unique in the Irish market bringing the most shockingly affordable cars to the Irish consumer! Our Dacia models – Duster, Sandero & Logan MCV – continue to prove hugely popular with thousands of Irish motorists and as we celebrate our 5th Birthday this year we’re delighted to add to an already exciting year by driving on with the Breakfast Republic sponsorship!’

Tara Farrell, Sponsorship Manager, RTÉ Radio, said: ‘Now in its third year on air and listenership at an all time of high of 167,000 Breakfast Republic is delighted to partner with Dacia Ireland. This sponsorship signing is a perfect example of when the right radio show and the right brand come together – the fit is perfect!’
