Ex-2FM presenter Ruth Scott joins Radio Nova

Former long-server presenter with 2FM, Ruth Scott, is hosting her first show on Radio Nova this weekend.

Ruth is joining the team to host the Saturday Night Show from 9pm till midnight, and joins her former colleague Colm Hayes who is now programming the station.

Ruth is just back from her honeymoon with new hubby Rob Morgan and says she is looking forward to her new programme: “I was thrilled when I got the call from Colm. It’s almost the icing on the cake. Nova is a great station and getting better all the time and I can’t wait to roll out a bit of Bowie or The Beatles.”

Colm added: “When I heard Ruth had left 2FM I knew she would be a perfect fit for Radio Nova. Her ‘Weekenders’ show with Paddy McKenna was a ratings winner for 2FM for years. We have big plans for Radio Nova in the future, this is just the start.”

With John Clarke, Colm Hayes and now Ruth Scott and the rumour that Nikki Hayes will be hosting Morning Glory (not sure about that one), it’s beginning to look a lot more like noughties 2FM.
