Radio Snowflake returns this weekend with a new schedule and another fundraising target to help support Dublin Samaritans.
The station, which is available online, will feature David Baker on breakfast, Nails Mahoney on daytime and Paul Baker on drive.
Radio Snowflake was originally launched in 1982 by Dave Reddy in the Sandymount area of Dublin as a community station. The station over the last few years has helped many charities including Team Hope, Havens Hospices and now Dublin Samaritans.
David Baker who owns and runs the station told Radio Today: “I’m very proud of this station, We have one of the best voice overs in Liam Quigley, presenters like Nails Mahoney who of course is well known from Atlantic 252 and more recently 4fm. Paul Power from KFM where I also have connections with and Daphne Mitchell who had a long spell at BLB and Radio Leinster all those years ago and Paul Baker who is so well known in the UK for his time at Chiltern Radio/Classic Gold.
“Declan King so well known for his time At Sunshine Radio and 4fm and the voice we know so well from the Aviva Stadium. These people have given up their time for the cause and I’m not only very lucky but grateful to them. Christmas can be a lonely time and Dublin Samaritans are here to help those in need.”
The station has 10,000 car stickers in various outlets, half page adverts in many local papers and will also feature on TV3. It starts on Sunday 30th November at midday.
