Strawberries take over FM104 for Big Ask charity drive

FM104’s breakfast show The Strawberry Alarm Clock is taking over the station today with an unprecedented 18-hour show from 6am to midnight, in order to raise funds for the Irish Hospice Foundation.

It’s all part of the station’s “Big Ask” initiative, which was announced recently, and which aims to raise as much money and awareness as it can for the charitable organisation which strives to provide the best end-of-life care for all.

Celebrities including Ed Sheeran, Hozier and Kodaline have endorsed the initiative and the station have set up a web site to take donations, suggest ways of raising money, and explain where the funds go.

Strawberry Alarm Clock sponsors CityJet have pledged to donate €10,000 if the show’s presenters Jim-Jim Nugent and Mark “Nobby” Noble are successful and reach their goal of staying on air with the show for 18 straight hours today.
