Former RTÉ and Today FM journalist Gareth O’ Connor has joined Radio NOVA.
Gareth joins as a part of a new plan by the station to beef up its news and sports coverage in 2016.
He has a long career in radio in Ireland including almost twenty years at RTÉ radio and television and, more recently, was Managing Editor of News at Today FM. He has also worked at social media news agency, Storyful, established by journalist Mark Little.
NOVA’s Kevin Branigan told RadioToday: “We’re very pleased to welcome Gareth to NOVA. We’re a unique, diverse radio station, with lots of ambitions. We’re keen to expand the range and depth of our news and sports coverage, particularly at weekends, and Gareth brings many years of experience at senior national level to help us do this both on-air and through social media, where he is considered a key influencer.
