Radio broadcasters in Belfast and Dublin will be able to see and try broadcast equipment at two free industry roadshows this month.
The Broadcast Technology Roadshow visits the Titanic Hotel in Belfast on Tuesday 17 November and the Carlton Hotel in Cloghran, Dublin, on Thursday 19 November.
Both events run from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with visitors asked to register their interest in advance.
The events bring radio and television technology suppliers together at smaller regional venues, giving broadcasters an opportunity to inspect equipment, speak directly with suppliers and discuss projects they are working on or planning.
Companies listed as taking part include Broadcast Radio, Sonifex, Cedar, Vortex Communications, Artel, Angry Audio, Aqua Broadcast, AurasPro, Synthax, Sennheiser, Radioplayer and Deity Microphones.
Equipment and services represented cover radio software, studio products, audio restoration, IP audio codecs, FM transmission, audio distribution and online radio technology. Broadcast Radio says its team will be demonstrating the latest Myriad 7 features and answering questions at the events.
The roadshow began in 2019 when a group of broadcast technology companies joined forces to organise local events. The organisers say the aim is to offer visitors a “hands on” experience with products from different suppliers in one place.
The Belfast venue is in the Titanic Quarter on Queens Road, while the Dublin event takes place on Old Airport Road. Attendance is free, with registration through this website.
