Communicorp has sold its Latvian radio station AS Radio SWH Latvia to Cinamon Holding OÜ, an Estonian-based entertainment company.
Denis O’Brien acquired by the station in 2007 and currently owns four other stations in the area, including SWH+ but it is thought these are not affected by the sale.
Radio SWH is described as the first national commercial radio station in Latvia broadcasting a mix of contemporary music alongside current news, sports, talk and entertainment, and the only station providing live broadcasts from mass events.
Gervaise Slowey, Group CEO of Communicorp said: “We are privileged to be part of the history of SWH, one of Latvia’s greatest indigenous businesses. Communicorp is proud to have played its part in building the leading commercial radio group in the country. We would like to wish Cinamon on-going success”.
Cinamon Holding owns eight cinema halls in the Baltic region.
