Kennedy & Dixon give away free chocolate

Not the kind of headline we normally write at RadioToday (well, not too often) but on-a-break duo Adrian Kennedy and Jeremy Dixon are keeping their fans sweet by giving out free chocolate.

They wrote on their 15,000-strong fan page on Facebook to meet them in Dublin city centre this Thursday night with a secret password. In return they’ll get a selection box with Buttons, Fudge, Crunchie, Caramel, Flake and a Dairy Milk.

They can’t say which radio station they are going to, or even if this event (which must be costing €300 at least) is put on by their future employers, but if there’s a prize for keeping your audience keen, they’ve just won (wispa) Gold.

They’ve said they are giving away 300 selection boxes, but are having two for themselves so they have 298 to distribute. We think that’s a clue. 2-98. Geddit?

The former FM104 phone-in show hosts left the station in September to make way for the return of Chris Barry and will start a new daytime show on 98FM in March or April 2014. Probably.
