Communicorp has submitted a fast-track proposal for Newstalk to operate a quasi-national speech/news sound broadcasting service.
The Contract Awards Committee had initiated the fast-track application process, having received only one expression of interest for the provision of the service on 2nd December 2015.
The contract for this service is currently held by News 106 Limited broadcasting as Newstalk 106FM, the incumbent. This contract is scheduled to expire on 24h September 2016.
The BAI will now review the submission to ensure that all information requested has been received. On completion of this review, the submission will be made publicly available.
