RTÉ’s God Slot has found itself in trouble after asking the question “Can gays be cured of being gay?” at 3:50pm yesterday.

A further tweet said: “Apologies if offended by a promo for @TheGodSlot tomorrow night The contributor refutes the value of any conversion therapy for gay people.”

More replies including: “IF offended? IF? You still don’t get it do you?”

The apology has sinced been retweeted almost 100 times.
