RTÉ 2fm presenter Paddy McKenna has signed up to host an IMRO music seminar on country music.
The event, called “Building a Career in Country Music” has a panel of songwriters and professionals including Northern Sound Radio presenter Charlie McGettigan and Galway Bay FM host Marc Roberts. They’re joined by Derek Ryan and Ralph Murphy.
Paddy will discuss with his panel how to turn a talent into a career, aimed at songwriters, artists, producers, musicians and anyone interested in entering these fields. Among the seminar topics will be: how to get your music career in gear, as well as advice on generating promotion, radio play and publicity.
Paddy himself is also a singer, songwriter and guitarist in addition to being a weekend presenter.
The event, on Tuesday 22nd July at Mullingar Park Hotel, will feature exclusive live performances from the panellists and a special IMRO Award presentation to Derek Ryan.
