Bláthnaid celebrates Best Radio Show win

Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh celebrated winning the prize for Best Radio Show at the Oireachtas Media Awards with a live show and barbecue from the RTÉ Radio Centre courtyard for the final programme in her Bláthnaid Libh series on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.

The weather was good, and there was a great atmosphere as band Seo Linn kicked off the show with some live music. Seo Linn is the band behind Ireland’s Euro Championship song, Ireland’s Roar, which they performed in the Aviva Stadium last week.

Special guests on the Bláthnaid Libh show included comedian Al Porter, who said he was trying to remember his cúpla focal as he had forgotten Bláthnaid’s show was in Irish.

Bláthnaid was also joined by 2fm’s Chris Greene, members of Na Gaeil Óga football club, and little children from Naíonra an Chuilinn preschool in Tyrellstown who brought the cute factor.
