John Kenny joins online radio station 1MUSIC

Ireland based 1MUSIC has hired 2fm’s John Kenny to host a new rock music show from Friday 2nd February.

“We here at 1MUSIC & RODE Microphones (1MUSIC’s Worldwide Sponsor) have been big fans of John for many years and know that he will be an exciting addition to our schedule,” the station says.

1MUSIC was created by Frankie Shanley (an ex-prisoner) who realised that after mistakes he made in the past he would find it hard to get back in the industry and so spent two years creating & developing 1MUSIC which has now been broadcasting for three months.

John Kenny works as a journalist at RTE and the BBC, and was previously known as a pirate radio presenter in the 80s.

1MUSIC plays fresh new music from our 4 Studios in the USA, Ireland, Greece & London (London from March) from the worlds biggest artists in the Electronic, Hip-Hop, Alternative and RnB scene and also focuses on those unsigned bands trying to gain traction in the industry.

Ciara, This IS a great story but the irish papers don’t like a good news story or it would be everywhere, i remember reading about frankie shanley years ago for the wrong reasons but this and other stories about him recently prove he’s actually doing very well for himself. Tipping my hat
