Students at the Ballyfermot College of Further Education are getting ready to launch Emerald Radio for the 18th consecutive year.
The Dublin-based station will run from the 4th to the 8th of March, with an official launch party planned for this Thursday 28th February.
The station will be available online at emeraldradio2013.com where listeners can also view the presenters live on webcam throughout the week. It will go live everyday for 3 hours from 1PM – 4PM including daily news bulletins.
The shows will be based on all things Irish going from the more traditional to the modern, including cooking, music documentaries, ghost stories, history and sport.
Station Manager Stephen McDonagh is very passionate about Emerald and is determined to lead the station into success. “The support we have received from the college Principal Maureen Conway and our Project Co-coordinator Bernard Evans has been invaluable,” he says.
