Funding available for temporary services

The BAI has launched a new Sectoral Learning and Development initiative to enable Temporary Radio Services apply for funding.

The funding can go towards learning, development and/or evaluation activities, allowing applicants to apply for funding of up to €500 from the BAI that can then be used by the station to conduct learning, development and/or evaluation activities.

The BAI has published an Information Booklet and Application Form for the Scheme. All applications received will be assessed by the BAI in line with the Scheme criteria as set out in the Information Booklet.

A Temporary Radio Service is one licensed by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland to broadcast for a period of up to 30 days in a 12-month period. Additionally, if the service is for an aspirant community radio station, the BAI may licence the service to broadcast for up to 100 days in a 12-month period.
