Dublin’s FM104 has confirmed the rumoured return of Chris Barry to late night radio, as he takes over from Adrian and Jeremy on Monday.
RadioToday understands Adrian Kennedy and Jeremy Dixon were informed of the news after their show last night, being told they’d presented their last programme and will not be able to say goodbye on-air.
Kennedy took to Twitter to confirm his departure this morning saying he and Jeremy have finished at the station.
Chris was originally on the FM104 Phone Show in the 1990s, with the station using the slogan “The Bitch is Back” to mark his return on September 30th at 9pm.
Chris said: “It feels like coming home and I am so excited to return to the Phoneshow where the listeners are always the stars of the show.”
Dave Kelly FM104 PD said: “I am delighted to welcome Chris back to the FM104 family. When you listen to Chris I often find it hard to turn off the radio and get out of the car as he has an addictive style, which often brings out the best in our listeners.
“I have admired Chris for his gutsy presentation style over the years and Dublin is about to get a burst of radio that will shock, excite and maybe sometimes annoy you, but believe me it will unmissable every night.”
