Dublin’s 98FM has teamed up with Ford Ireland to give away a new Ford B-Max using the sticker-spotting mechanic.
The competition, which runs until November 1st, sees the 98FM Thunders out and about giving away car stickers. The promotion includes on-air, on-street activity, Outside Broadcasts at shopping centres and Ford garages, online, print and display advertising.
Stickers have also been made available for pick up at Ford garages and at 98FM reception at Malt House South. Listeners are invited to register their car registration plate on the station’s Facebook page.
Account Manager Andrew Macken told RadioToday: “‘Stick on 98FM, Win a Ford B-Max’ is a massive cross station promotion for 98FM and Ford which lasts six weeks in total and utilises all of our cross platform assets to bring the promotion to life.
“It is based on a really simple mechanic but one that works, as Dubliners only have to stick a 98FM Car Sticker on their car to be in with a chance to win. Once their car reg is read out on air they have 98 minutes to contact the station.
“The mechanic has been used before but this time we have up to fifteen 98FM Thunders on street daily, not just giving out car stickers but also placing on cars (with permission of course).”
The 98FM mobile app is also directing users to the registration page, and gives sales leads for Ford as entrants can opt in to receive more information from Ford Ireland.
Andrew continues: “Ford have been fantastic in their support of this promotion and we are all looking forward to the Grand Finale which will take place on Friday 1st November.”
