Today sees a soft launch of RTÉ Gold’s new Saturday line up.
The digital station says there will be an official launch ‘later in the year’ but for now listeners can hear Larry Gogan, Lorcan Murray and Aiden Leonard with specialist shows, plus John Clarke’s Classic Countdown show.
Here’s the schedule after Gold Sunrise:
9am: Larry Gogan’s Livin’ in the 60’s
10am: Lorcan Murray’s Livin’ in the 70’s
11am: Aidan Leonard’s Solid Gold Saturday Show
1pm: John Clarkes Classic Countdown – the top 20 chart from this week in history
2pm – 10pm: All 80s Saturday
There’s no word yet on where Will Leahy’s 5pm till 7pm has gone, or if it’s coming back.
A post by Will on Facebook yesterday reads: “So tomorrow is it’s first day ….be nice with the criticism but if you want some great songs you won’t hear on any other station played by the best jocks around then please try to tune in.”
Gold is on DAB in Dublin, Cork & Limerick – on UPC & Saorview and online and recently introduced a new jingle package.
