Christmas FM seek new talent with Training Course

In preparation for their 2015 holiday broadcast, charity station Christmas FM are looking to train new and existing talent to expand their volunteer team.

The station say that these professional courses, which will take place in their Ballsbridge studio, are taught by experienced lecturers and broadcasters and that no prior experience is necessary.

The only thing they say you do need is a love for radio AND of course for Christmas itself, as this course is specifically aimed at training potential volunteers for the holiday driven station.

Students will learn about radio landscape and formats, digital editing & scripting for radio, how to become proficient in the use of a radio studio and how to present & produce a 15 min individual music driven radio show, and edit that down to a 5 minute demo.

Participants in the course, which costs €195, will get a chance to join the Christmas FM volunteer team for 2015 as well as a certificate of completion.

The station also say they have selected their charity partner for this year’s broadcast.

More information can be found on the Christmas FM web site.
