Radio Kerry skills course begins recruiting

The National Digital Skills Centre in partnership with Radio Kerry are recruiting for their City and Guilds Diploma in Radio Production which begins on October 5th.

Trainees are trained in a live radio station environment for 42 weeks followed by 8 week industry placement. The focus is on developing the right mix of knowledge, skills and attitude needed for trainees to begin a career in radio.

Trainees will gain practical skills in news, sport, music and commercial production. Former trainees have gone on to work with BBC, RTE and the Independent Local Radio sector. The course has been nominated for 10 PPI National Radio Awards and graduates of the course have gone on to win numerous national and international radio awards.

A final day of interviews will be held in Tralee on this Thursday, September 17th and course places are limited to 18.
