Applications wanted for three Dublin radio licences

Public notices have been placed in newspapers by the BAI asking for applications for three community radio stations in Dublin.

Licences held by Near 90.3fm, Phoenix FM and Dublin South FM will expire next year and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland is inviting anyone to submit an application, including the current operators.

Each of the services should be community focused and address the interests of, and seek to provide a social benefit to, the people within the franchise area. The services should be non-profit-maximising and should provide for, and support, access by individuals and groups living in the franchise area.

The closing date for receipt of applications for the services is 12 noon on Wednesday 7th September 2016.
