TXFM prepares for final day of broadcasting

Dublin’s Music-driven alternative rock station TXFM is inviting listeners to choose the music for the final breakfast shows.

Writing on the station’s website, breakfast presenter Cathal Funge said: “I’ve had an absolute blast presenting TX Breakfast and I’m looking for your input into how the final week of the show will sound on air.

“I want YOU to request one final song before we head off into the great unknown and I’m hoping to get as many of those requests in before the final week.”

The station is closing this Wednesday after management at the station chose not to reapply for its licence to serve the Dublin area on 105.2FM. No other applications were received either, despite two expressions of interest being shown.

Cathal continued: “Let me know what your ‘ONE MORE TUNE’ is by emailing cathal@txfm.ie and please put ‘ONE MORE TUNE’ in the subject line.”
