Communicorp is refusing to comment on speculation that it will be axing the posts of CEO at Newstalk, SPIN and 98FM.
The Irish Independent reported yesterday that there will be sweeping structural changes to staff, including the merging of senior roles and elimination of three CEO posts.
There was no comment from the company when contacted by RadioToday to confirm the nature of the changes, saying they won’t be issuing any statement on the report in the newspaper. Staff were told about some of the changes yesterday.
It was reported the stations will bring their commercial operations together under a single media operation, and a single Chief Executive, Keith McCormack, will be responsible for all music stations.
Tim Collins, who was appointed CEO at Newstalk in 2015, is said to be leaving his position, whilst the 98FM CEO and Spin CEO will also step down.
