Johnny Bowe leaves Radio NOVA for FM104
Radio NOVA’s Riffs & Refs presenter Johnny Bowe has announced on Twitter he is leaving the station.
The weekend host and former Irish International Table Tennis player is joining FM104 across town from August replacing Rob Gormley on weekends.
He said: “Breaking News: I’m leaving Radio Nova and joining FM104. Nova has been terrific and I wish them all the best. New project starts in August”
Dave Kelly, Group Programme Director Dublin Operations at FM104 confirmed the news to RadioToday.ie: “John wanted a move and when two weekends shifts came up on the market leader FM104 he jumped at the chance.
“I joked with him that there is only so much Doors and Pink Floyd a man can play in his lifetime!!! John is looking forward to playing Dublin Hit Music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, starting on August 19th.”
