Cork’s 96FM presenter Simon Murdoch has joined C103 as the new host of Cork’s More Music Breakfast.
He will take over the show on Monday 1st October, replacing Colum McGrath who left earlier in the summer to rejoin Clare FM to present Breakfast
Simon began his radio career with C103’s sister station, Cork’s 96FM, in 2006 but made the move to Athlone-based iRadio two years later where he presented mid-mornings. Two years ago, Simon and his wife relocated back to Cork when he took up a position in digital content. He also presented weekend shows on Red FM.
Also joining the team at Cork’s 96FM & C103 is Isabel Keane. She is the new Head of Sponsorship, Promotions and Marketing. Isabel joins the Wireless brands from Red FM where she held a similar position. Previously, she worked at Media Central and Spin 103.8 in Dublin.
And Kate Power has joined the Cork’s 96FM & C103 Digital Team. A graduate of CIT with a Masters in Public Relations with New Media, Kate has worked extensively in Web Design and Video Production. Her previous experience includes Coolmore Stud; L’Oreal Dublin; Cameo Communications and Dyjaho in Cork.
Cork’s 96FM & C103 Group Station Director, Kieran McGeary told RadioToday.ie: “Simon, Isabel and Kate are three very strong appointments. They will enhance our already very experienced team.
These additions form part of our strategy to continually innovate and improve what we do.”
