Former SPIN South West presenter and comedian Doireann Garrihy is to host a one-off show on Today FM this weekend.
The stations’ regular show ‘Premiere League Live’ takes the week off due to the international break in soccer.
Garrihy will present a four-hour show on the Communicorp station from 2pm till 6pm on Saturday and promises to bring “plenty of craic and loads of tzunes”.
The former SPIN South West broadcaster, well-known for her impressions of Irish celebrities, has teased that the new season of her comedy show, The Doireann Project, is set to be released “very very soon”.
Speaking about her first solo-show on a national radio station Doireann Garrihy said: “I’m so excited to be joining the Today FM family this weekend. I’ve been hovering at their door for the past few years, so to finally be taking to the airwaves is a dream come true. Tune in from 2pm as I have some seriously dzeadly tickets to give away!”
Programme Director at Today FM Adelle Nolan added: “When you have this kind of talent on your doorstep, you must give her a show! We are delighted to have Doireann on the national airwaves this weekend.”
