Laura Bracken and Jaz Keane are the new Zoo Crew presenters, replacing Doireann Garrihy and Marty Guilfoyle.
The two new presenters are already part of the on-air sound at the station. Laura is the entertainment & showbiz reporter as well as presenting her own weekend music show, while Jaz, who joined the SPIN family in January, has been presenting his nightly show ‘SPIN Xtra’ and ‘Friday Night SPIN’.
Doireann Garrihy and Marty Guilfoyle will move to present their own individual shows elsewhere on the SPIN schedule: Doireann is set for a new weekend show while Marty will host his own night time music slot, ‘SPIN Xtra’ (weeknights from 10pm) bringing to bear his passion for hot urban music.
Speaking about the new schedule announcement, Phil Manzor, SPIN 1038 Content Director told RadioToday: “I’m thrilled to welcome Jaz and Laura to the ‘The Zoo Crew’, the biggest evening show in Dublin. As the largest youth brand in Ireland, SPIN is all about developing new and exciting talent, I can’t wait for our listeners to get to know Jaz and Laura.
“We’re also delighted that Doireann and Martin will be staying within the SPIN family; both working on their own new shows.”
Laura Bracken joined the SPIN crew over two years ago as news and entertainment reporter before landing her own Sunday show in summer 2017. She was shortlisted for Best Radio DJ in the recent IMRO Radio Awards.
Laura said: “I’ve been a massive fan of SPIN and The Zoo Crew for years, way before I joined the station, so to get the chance to actually present the show is a dream come true! I can’t wait to get stuck in and I’m really excited to get to work with Jaz”
Sharing Laura’s excitement, Jaz said: “I can’t believe that this is happening, Laura and I are going to sink our teeth into the show and have a lot of fun along the way”
Doireann and Marty will host their final show together this evening (Friday) from 7pm.
