98FM licence secured for another decade

The BAI has signed a new Contract with 98FM to continue operating a music-driven, local sound broadcasting service for 25-44 year olds.

The station covers Dublin City and County and this new agreement kicks in on November 1st 2013.

Speaking at the contract signing, Bob Collins, Chairperson of the BAI, said: “We are delighted to sign a contract today with 98FM. The service has been an integral part of Dublin’s broadcasting landscape for many years. This new contract provides the capacity for the service to sustain and evolve to meet its audience’s changing needs in the future. The BAI wishes 98FM continued success over the duration of the next contract period.”

The BAI was represented at the contract signings (pictured above) by the Chairperson, Bob Collins and Michael O’Keeffe, Chief Executive. 98FM was represented by Lucy Gaffney, Chairperson, and Alan McMahon, Company Secretary.
