Sir Bob Geldof is to host a special one-off show on Classic Hits 4FM this Bank Holiday Monday.
The station approached the Boomtown Rats singer who was delighted with the offer, and has since been spending the last few weeks compiling a list of songs he’ll be playing.
Sir Bob’s Classic Hits will air this Monday from 6pm with a two hour special and will include one or two of his own songs.
Robbie Fogarty, Deputy Programme Director told RadioToday: “This is going to be a great show & Bob really has a flare for radio and a big future as a radio presenter, you never quite know what he will say or play next but that adds to the must listen factor.”
The Band Aid founder has been a DJ before – he did a stint at Xfm in London in the 1990s.
