South East Radio has launched a new local awards scheme, in association with a local hotel to recognise the service of others.
The Outstanding Achievement Awards, which is a joint initiative with the Talbot Hotel, promotes and recognises achievements of local people who go above the beyond the call of duty.
The station says listeners will nominate the worthy recipients of the monthly award scheme that culminates in a Gala Ball held at the Talbot Hotel.
The nominations will be reviewed by a judging panel and a monthly winner is selected to receive an Outstanding Achievement Award and a luxury weekend break for two in any Talbot Group Hotel.
The January award will be announced the first week in February.
