Mixcloud has launched a new website today, helping the UK company’s vision to connect listeners to radio content all in one place.
Ten million people use the site per month and Mixcloud say the update makes the free service faster and slicker.
“From the new customisable Profile pages to the colourful new Cloudcast pages, the site has a beautiful new look and feel, developed with a multi screen strategy in mind,” Mixcloud Chief Technology Officer Mat Clayton told us.
Presenters and producers can upload full programmes and listeners can now line-up different audio in their own playlists.
And when audio is uploaded, Mixcloud analysing the content to identify and present the tracklist to the listener.
“One of the core values behind Mixcloud is the power of radio as the best, lean-back audio experience around. Mixcloud rethinks this for an on-demand world,” says Mixcloud Cofounder, Nikhil Shah.
Current users include RTÉ, UCB Ireland Radio, The Guardian and DJs Carl Cox, Moby and Jazzy Jeff.
