Brendan O’Carroll, filling in at RTÉ Radio 1 this weekend for Marian Finucane, has pledged to invest €30,000 of his own money to a listener.
Entrepreneur Eddie Malloy was on-air with Brendan explaining how his business failed three years ago, saying he was broke but was determined to get back on his feet with his new retail business idea.
Brendan then shocked Eddie by telling him he was willing to help him out, saying “I will put €30,000 in front of you and see if that idea works. And if we can make this idea work, you being 61 and me being 50-ish, we can show exactly what two old men can do.”
And he joked: “If it does work, you’re not to dip into it and start going and playing golf.”
