Cormac Ó hEadhra takes on Late Debate

Cormac Ó hEadhra, drivetime host on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, has been confirmed as the new presenter of The Late Debate on RTÉ Radio 1.

The programme airs Tuesday to Thursday at 10pm and is an hour-long news analysis, politics and current affairs programme.

Cormac said: “I’m very much looking forward to this programme – chairing insightful debates about some of the most pressing issues facing our society as well as tracking the latest developments of current affairs.”

He currently presents Cormac @ 5 on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta – a weekday drivetime current affairs magazine programme. He’s been working for RTÉ since completing his studies – he has a degree in Finance, Computing and Enterprise and also qualified as a barrister in 2007.

Earlier this year we reported on Cormac’s win at the Celtic Media Festival when he was named Best Presenter. He also won the prize for Radio Presenter of the Year at the Oireachtas Media Awards in 2013 and his programme won the prize for best radio series the same year.
